Job summary

SITA Group in Istanbul, Turkey, is seeking a Senior Technical Administrator to join the on‑site Professional Field Services team. You will maintain availability and performance of airport‑critical tech, administering Windows Server, SQL Server, VMware, storage, backups, and related apps, owning incidents through resolution.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience in network, infrastructure, application and/or systems support.
• A degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Proven experience supporting external customers and delivering services against agreed SLAs.
• Strong practical experience administering Windows Server and its core infrastructure services.
• Hands‑on SQL Server administration experience covering setup, backup, restore and performance monitoring.
• Practical VMware administration experience across hosts, virtual machines and datastores.
• Experience administering and troubleshooting SAN storage, SAN switches, backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Practical knowledge of ITIL processes and service‑management principles.
• Strong troubleshooting, incident ownership, customer communication, collaboration and stakeholder‑management skills.
• A proactive, accountable working style, with the ability to follow tasks through from start to completion and participate in on‑call support.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor and support Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Microsoft Failover Clustering, IIS, WDS, DNS and DHCP.
• Administer SQL Server environments, including installation, database setup, backup, restore and performance monitoring.
• Manage and monitor VMware hosts, virtual machines and datastores to maintain stable and reliable operations.
• Monitor, administer and troubleshoot SAN storage and SAN switch environments.
• Operate backup and disaster‑recovery solutions, monitor backup jobs, perform restores and support recovery testing.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, application and system incidents, taking end‑to‑end ownership through resolution and timely follow‑up.
• Support external customers and deliver services in line with agreed SLAs, ITIL processes and service‑management principles.
• Communicate clearly with customers, internal teams and stakeholders, providing accurate updates and coordinating required actions.
• Maintain operational documentation and contribute to proactive monitoring, problem prevention and continuous service improvement.
• Work on‑site at Istanbul Airport and participate in the team’s rotating on‑call support schedule when required.
