Job summary

Hitachi Energy, a global leader in sustainable energy solutions, is seeking a senior engineer for the StarLiquid program. You will develop and maintain electrical standards for liquid-filled transformers, review designs and calculations, and drive cost and performance optimization across global factories.

The role, remote based for the Dudullu-DT factory, involves collaboration with diverse teams, mentoring engineers, and ensuring compliance with IEC, IEEE, GB, CSA and other standards while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and preferably master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• 10+ years or higher experience in electrical design of liquid-filled distribution or power transformers.
• Experience with transformer design software and electrical calculation tools.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Willing to travel about 10–20% per year.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain StarLiquid electrical technical standards.
• Review transformer electrical designs and calculations; optimize for cost, material, and performance.
• Review change requests and develop technically validated solutions.
• Support implementation and testing in CDS and related engineering systems; ensure compliance with StarLiquid requirements and international standards.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, R&D, manufacturing, quality, and software teams.
• Provide training and engineering support; mentor engineers; drive engineering excellence and knowledge sharing.
