Job summary

Karbontürk is seeking an experienced Document Control Specialist to manage project documentation from registration to archiving. You will ensure accurate revision control, proper distribution, and timely updates across engineering teams, suppliers and subcontractors.

The role requires a strong background in document control within industrial plants or large CAPEX projects, proficiency in MS Office and at least one DMS (SharePoint/Aconex/Autodesk Construction Cloud/ProjectWise).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
Preferably at least 8 years of document control experience in industrial projects such as energy, mining, petrochemical, cement or similar CAPEX projects.
Good knowledge of document control procedures, revision management, coding, distribution and approvals.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
Experience with document management systems like SharePoint, Aconex, Autodesk Construction Cloud or ProjectWise.
Ability to read and understand technical documentation in English and manage business correspondence.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and follow-up capabilities.
Excellent coordination and communication with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and contractors.
Experience in EPC or large-scale CAPEX investment projects.
Familiarity with engineering documentation across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation, civil/structural.
Experience with FAT, SAT, quality control, commissioning and as-built docs.
Experience delivering document schedules, overdue reports and performance indicators.

Responsibilities

Register, distribute, revise, track and archive all technical and admin project documentation.
Control engineering drawings, specifications, P&IDs, equipment docs, calculation reports and procedures.
Maintain master registers and ensure latest approved revisions are used by teams.
Ensure proper numbering, coding, revision control and approvals.
Coordinate document exchanges between client, contractors, suppliers and subcontractors.
Track review cycles and report delays to Project Management.
Prepare and maintain MDR and document tracking logs with status updates.
Monitor submission schedules and follow up on overdue documents.
Ensure construction/site teams use current drawings and documents.
Track vendor docs, quality records, inspection/test reports and commissioning docs.
Coordinate compilation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, test reports and handover docs.
Ensure traceability, confidentiality and archiving throughout lifecycle.
