Job summary

Marsh Türkiye is seeking a Senior Counsel to join our management team in Istanbul to support corporate legal needs across Marsh businesses. This role reports to the Chief Counsel for Italy, East Med & Caspian and offers a hybrid schedule with three days in the office per week.

The position involves drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, advising on strategic alliances, and supporting innovation and compliance initiatives to enable business growth in Türkiye.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in law and 7+ years' experience in the insurance sector.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Energetic, self-motivated and result-oriented.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Excellent judgment, communication and negotiating skills, financial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to Marsh Türkiye management on brokerage and risk advisory businesses.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of contracts including client services, RFPs, confidentiality, vendor and technology agreements.
• Support development of strategic alliances, joint marketing and referral agreements.
• Provide advice on innovation initiatives and new product development.

Marsh Türkiye is seeking candidates for “Senior Counsel” to join our management team based in Istanbul office! Marsh's Legal, Compliance and Public Affairs (LCPA) department promotes a culture in which ethical, lawful, and risk mindful behavior is encouraged and reinforced. We are looking for a commercially oriented in-house counsel to support the corporate legal needs of its Marsh businesses.

The position will report to the Chief Counsel Marsh Italy, East Med & Caspian Region, who is based at the Company’s headquarters in Italy. This is a hybrid role with a requirement of working three days in the office per week.

We will count on you to

• Serve as a trusted advisor to various levels of Company management on a broad range of Marsh’s brokerage and risk advisory businesses in Türkiye
• Handle the drafting, review and negotiation of a wide range of contracts, including domestic and global client services agreements, RFPs with prospective clients, consulting agreements, confidentiality agreements, vendor agreements and technology contracts.
• Support the business in developing, drafting and negotiating strategic alliance agreements, joint marketing agreements and referral agreements with third parties, including in the reinsurance, cyber and technology space.
• Provide advice and counsel to the Company’s innovation initiatives as the business seeks to develop new products and solutions.

What you need to have

• A bachelor’s degree in law with 7+years’ experience in insurance sector
• Fluent in both written and spoken English
• Energetic, self-motivated and result-oriented
• Proficiency with MS Office applications
• Excellent judgment, excellent communication and negotiating skills, financial acumen, project management skills, and a willingness and ability to work as a part of a team.
