Job summary

Rönesans Enerji is seeking a Senior Corporate Finance Specialist to be based at the Istanbul headquarters. The role involves in-house financial feasibility assessments, valuation, due diligence, and presenting to stakeholders within a dynamic energy group.

The ideal candidate holds a related degree, 4+ years in corporate finance or M&A, and excellent English with strong financial modeling and market research capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in business administration, economics or engineering (MBA a plus).
• CFA Charterholder or candidate is a plus.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in corporate finance, investment banking, M&A, project finance or similar.
• Experience from advisory departments of international firms (Big 4), investment banks or financial institutions.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong financial modeling and presentation skills.
• Solid knowledge of accounting, tax, IFRS, valuation, debt structuring.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-house financial feasibility assessments for new projects.
• Conduct in-house valuation, due diligence, and research for mergers, acquisitions, exits, or reporting purposes.
• Prepare and update group presentations for business development and financing activities; inform stakeholders.
• Coordinate external advisory processes including valuation or due diligence.
• Monitor and report financial risks; implement hedging strategies via derivatives.
• Analyze and report the financial performance of potential partners for investments.
• Assist management of relations with external stakeholders (investors, lenders).
• Conduct market, industry, and peer research.
• Monitor subsidiaries’ financial performance and efficient use of resources.
• Fulfilling ad hoc analysis or reports for the President or BoD.

Founded in 2009 with the aim of contributing to Turkiye's green transformation, Rönesans Enerji Production and Trade Inc. continues its investments in the energy sector under the partnership of Rönesans Holding and Total Energies since the year 2023. Rönesans Enerji, equipped with a highly experienced team in the energy sector, initially embarked on its activities by investing in the field of renewable energy production, particularly by establishing hydroelectric power plants. Rönesans Enerji, also plays a leading role in electricity sales and trade, carrying out its activities in the sector.

Rönesans Enerji is targeting to recruit Senior Corporate Finance Specialist to be based in the headquarters in İstanbul with the following qualifications.

Duties and Accountabilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Providing in-house financial feasibility assessments for new projects with an independent perspective;
• Conducting in-house valuation/due diligence/research studies for mergers, acquisitions, exits, or reporting/accounting purposes;
• Preparing and updating the group presentations to be utilized for business development and/or financing activities as well as for keeping the various stakeholders (financial institutions, insurance agencies, etc.) up to date;
• Coordinating the external advisory processes including but not limited to valuation or due diligence activities;
• Monitoring and reporting financial risks and implementing hedging strategies via derivatives;
• Analysing and reporting the financial performance of the potential partners for construction/investment opportunities;
• Assisting to the management of relations with the external stakeholders (investors, lenders, etc.) about the changes in the future outlook;
• Conducting market, industry and peer researches;
• Closely following the financial performance of subsidiaries and ensuring the efficient use of financial resources
• Fulfilling ad hoc analysis or report requests of the President or the BoD members for various purposes.

Selection Criteria

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in business administration, economics or engineering from a reputable university (having an MBA is a plus);
• Being a CFA Charterholder or a candidate is a plus;
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in corporate finance, investment banking, M&A, project finance or similar fields;
• Experience from advisory departments of international consultancy companies (such as Big 4), investment banks, financial institutions, M&A houses, multilaterals or similar institutions;
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken;
• Ability to maintain and develop complex financial models and presentations;
• Ability to deliver high quality work within deadlines under demanding environments;
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills;
• Sufficient technical knowledge in accounting, tax, IFRS, financial analysis, valuation, debt structuring, and etc;
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel and PowerPoint;
• Strong inter-personal skills, ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing;
