Job summary

CHEP Pallets Istanbul seeks a commercially driven Senior BD & Account Executive to manage major and mid-tier customers, retain them, and drive sustainable growth across industries.

You will own the end-to-end sales cycle, develop joint business and account plans, and collaborate with Logistics, Finance and Marketing to deliver customer-focused solutions within a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree as specified.
• 4–5 years in business development or account management with solution selling.
• Experience with CRM/ERP systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of major and mid-tier customers, ensuring retention and revenue.
• Identify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities to build a healthy sales pipeline.
• Lead end-to-end sales process from opportunity assessment to contract closure.
• Develop and maintain Joint Business Plans and account strategies.
• Build relationships with key customer stakeholders across multiple levels.

Job Description Key Responsibilities May Include:

• Manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of customers, ensuring alignment with CHEP’s business strategy and delivering on revenue growth and satisfaction targets.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement strategic account plans, with a focus on growth opportunities and cost-efficiency improvements.
• Lead contract negotiations, ensuring terms meet customer needs while supporting business objectives.
• Conduct customer business reviews, addressing customer concerns and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
• Monitor and report on account performance, including customer satisfaction metrics, and develop plans to address areas for improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key contacts within customer organizations to drive collaboration and enhance supply chain efficiency.
• Identify new business opportunities through prospecting and networking, ensuring a healthy sales pipeline.
• Lead customer retention initiatives, working with customers to provide solutions that enhance satisfaction and loyalty.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in strengthening CHEP’s market position by managing, retaining and expanding relationships with major, mid-tier and strategic customers across relevant industry sectors.

What You’ll Make Happen

• Manage and grow a portfolio of major and mid-tier customers, ensuring strong retention, revenue protection and long-term partnership value.
• Identify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities to build a healthy and prioritized sales pipeline.
• Lead the end-to-end sales process, from opportunity assessment and solution development through to proposal, negotiation and contract closure.
• Develop and maintain Joint Business Plans, account plans and customer win strategies aligned to business objectives.
• Build trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders and decision-makers across multiple levels.
• Partner with internal teams including Logistics, Operations, Asset Management, Finance, Customer Collaboration and Marketing to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Use market intelligence, customer insight and pipeline data to recommend actions that support growth, retention and improved customer satisfaction.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain, Marketing or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4–5 years’ experience in business development, account management and solution selling, ideally within FMCG, manufacturing, supply chain or a related sector.
• Experience using CRM, ERP or business management systems such as Salesforce, SAP, Siebel or BW is advantageous.
• Professional certification in Sales, Business Development, Account Management or Project Management is desirable.
• MBA or other advanced business qualification would be an advantage.
• Fluency in Turkish and English is essential.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.
