Qualifications

• Production backend systems experience.
• JVM languages: Java / Kotlin / Scala.
• gRPC or similar RPC framework.
• REST and GraphQL API design.
• Event-driven architecture experience.
• Relational database proficiency.
• Cloud infra with Terraform and AWS.
• Observability and incident response skills.
• Problem-solving and pragmatic decisions.
• Independent work and ownership.
• Professional English proficiency.
• Interest in AI in software development.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own JVM backend services.
• Service-to-service gRPC communication with clear contracts.
• Design REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Build event-driven workflows with proper patterns.
• Own infrastructure with Terraform and CI/CD.
• Make services observable with metrics and tracing.
• Model data and optimize SQL queries.
• Secure healthcare data with access controls and encryption.
• Write maintainable, tested code and mentor peers.
