Job summary

Carbon Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own end-to-end feature delivery across backend, frontend, and infrastructure. You’ll build reliable, scalable services using Java/Kotlin/Scala, React, AWS, and modern tooling, collaborating with product and design to ship value.

You’ll design APIs (REST/gRPC/GraphQL), implement real-time features, and improve observability with Grafana/Prometheus. Remote-first Türkiye, full-time, USD salary.

Qualifications

• Experience as a full-stack software engineer in production systems.
• Backend experience in JVM (Java, Kotlin, or Scala).
• Design and build APIs using REST, gRPC, and GraphQL.
• Strong frontend experience with React and Next.js.
• Experience with React Native (Expo) and AWS in production.
• Familiar with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java, Kotlin, or Scala.
• Build APIs with REST, gRPC, and GraphQL in production.
• Develop frontend apps with React, Next.js, and React Native.
• Implement real-time features with WebSockets and message brokers.
• Work with AWS and contribute to cloud infrastructure.
• Use Terraform for provisioning and management.
• Improve observability with Grafana and Prometheus.
• Write maintainable, well-tested code and participate in design discussions.
• Use AI to improve development workflows.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to deliver on time.
