Job summary

Ruby Labs is seeking a Senior UI/UX Engineer to own the UI/UX quality of a core D2C subscription product. You will self-QA against standards and drive design from brief to production using Next.js and Tailwind CSS, with a mobile-first approach.

You will lead UI/UX across the project, supervise teammates, and shape the design system while maintaining high quality and consistency in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• Final UI/UX quality owner for a product with sign-off responsibility.
• Hands-on production experience with AI design and code tools as part of daily workflow.
• Portfolio of shipped, live consumer web products with visible craftsmanship.
• Strong front-end fundamentals: React/Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Own UI/UX quality for the entire product and define the standard for ships.
• Supervise team members' UI/UX work: set direction, review, and drive to completed quality.
• Own major visual features end-to-end: brief, explore directions, justify choices, implement, polish.
• Own the design system and its documentation to keep visuals consistent across screens/devices/locale.
• Work AI-first: manage prompts/assets and assess readiness to ship to market.
