Job summary

CapsLock is seeking a Social Media Video Editor & Designer to create platform-first content for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. The role focuses on short-form editing, crafting engaging videos with pacing, transitions, captions, sound, and motion graphics, while also delivering supporting graphics and thumbnails.

You will work closely with the social media team to ensure content adheres to brand guidelines, marketing objectives, and platform best practices, staying ahead of new editing styles

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional video editing and creative experience for social media and digital content.
• Strong portfolio showing short-form video editing, motion graphics, and graphic design work.
• Proficiency with video tools (Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci) and design tools (PS, Illustrator, Figma) is required.

Responsibilities

• Edit short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook with hooks, pacing, and platform-native formats.
• Create motion graphics, overlays, thumbnails, and other static assets as needed.
• Collaborate with social media team and stakeholders to optimize content based on engagement metrics.
• Stay updated with trends, formats, and platform best practices and manage files with clear version control.
