Jobgether in Turkey is seeking a Software Engineer (Edge - Devices & Mobile) with strong Rust expertise to build a cross-platform peer runtime for Windows, Android, Linux and future macOS. You will own critical infrastructure at scale, working with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes performance, security, reliability, and collaboration across a globally distributed remote-first team, with opportunities to influence architecture and contribute to large-scale data

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Rust production experience.
• Experience deploying cross-platform Rust apps on Windows and Android; macOS optional.
• Proficiency with FFI and integrating Rust with C/C++ and OS APIs (JNI/NDK, Win32, POSIX).
• Strong networking knowledge (TCP, TLS, HTTP) and observability in distributed fleets.

Responsabilités

• Design and maintain a cross-platform Rust peer runtime for Windows, Android, Linux, and macOS.
• Manage process lifecycles, background execution, networking, and updates across devices.
• Lead Android expansion using NDK/JNI with foreground services and battery considerations.
• Integrate Cronet and HTTP clients into Rust libraries; ensure safe FFI.
• Monitor network signals and observability metrics; ensure reliability of fleets.
• Collaborate with engineers; contribute to architecture and coding standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations and post-mortems.
• Document architecture, design reviews, and best practices.
