Job summary

Standard Chartered Bank is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to support regulatory reporting, tax preparation, vendor management, accounts payable, and ledger maintenance. You will collaborate with intra-group finance teams and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and governance across diverse business lines.

The role emphasizes compliance, internal controls, and timely MIS reporting, offering exposure to end-to-end finance processes within a regulated international bank environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2–4 years’ finance or accounting experience in banking, financial intermediary, or consulting for banking clients.
• Fluency in Turkish and English for local and international stakeholders.
• Strong teamwork and intra-team communication.
• Fundamental accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP).
• Advanced Excel with pivot tables and data analysis techniques.
• Experience with ERP or accounting software; SAP/PeopleSoft advantageous.
• Interest in banking regulatory environments and high data accuracy.
• CPA/SMMM considered a plus; exposure to Internext or similar banking systems is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit regulatory reports to authorities (BRSA, CBOT, TBB, TUIK).
• Design and implement controls to safeguard data validity via daily checks.
• Serve as liaison with internal auditors, providing information and documentation.
• Maintain robust ledger controls for accuracy and consistency.
• Prepare taxes, declarations, and e-legal books per local and international rules.
• Manage accounts payable workflow and vendor management activities.
• Oversee third-party invoice follow-ups via e-invoice portal and process entries.
• Build audit trails to verify accounting records for financial reporting.
• Support ICAAP preparation as part of risk and capital management.
• Deliver MIS reports to various functional teams to inform decisions.
