Job summary

VakıfBank is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join our technology team, focusing on Core Banking and International Banking Systems. You will design, develop, and deploy our next-generation International Core Banking Package for overseas branches across Europe, the UK, and the GCC region.

You will gather requirements, map integrations, and collaborate with global vendors and regulators to ensure local compliance while maintaining central governance and scalable architecture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Product Owner in Core Banking / International Banking IT projects.
• Fluent English (C1/C2) – both written and spoken; able to lead workshops and draft technical specifications.
• Strong knowledge of core banking modules and regulatory considerations.
• Experience with third-party integrations (SWIFT, AML, Regulatory Reporting) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Functional & Technical Analysis: Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for core banking modules (Customer Onboarding/KYC, Deposits, Commercial Loans, Treasury, and Trade Finance).
• System Integration & Architecture: Design specifications for third-party systems, including SWIFT, AML/Sanction Screening, Regulatory Reporting, and Local Clearing Systems (SEPA, Faster Payments, CoP).
• Overseas Branch & Vendor Alignment: Coordinate with international branch stakeholders, external vendors, regulators, and Head Office teams for global applicability and local compliance.
• Accounting & General Ledger Mapping: Define multi-currency accounting logic, map local GAAPs to Head Office Chart of Accounts (TDHP) and IFRS standards.
• Product Ownership & SDLC: Manage backlogs, write User Stories/Technical Specs, and support UAT and Go-Live in an Agile/Scrum environment.

In this role, you will have key responsibilities in designing, developing, and deploying our next-generation International Core Banking Package for our overseas branches across Europe, the UK, and the GCC region.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Functional & Technical Analysis: Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for core banking modules (Customer Onboarding/KYC, Deposits, Commercial Loans, Treasury, and Trade Finance, etc.).
• System Integration & Architecture: Design functional and integration specifications for third-party systems, including SWIFT, AML/Sanction Screening, Regulatory Reporting, and Local Clearing Systems (SEPA, Faster Payments, CoP).
• Overseas Branch & Vendor Alignment: Work closely with international branch stakeholders, external software vendors, regulators (e.g., FCA/PRA, FMA, DORA frameworks), and Head Office teams to ensure global applicability and local compliance.
• Accounting & General Ledger Mapping: Define multi-currency accounting logic, mapping local branch GAAPs to Head Office Chart of Accounts (TDHP) and IFRS standards.
• Product Ownership & SDLC: Manage backlogs, write clear User Stories/Technical Specs, and support UAT and Go-Live phases in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, MIS, or a related field.
• Technical Proficiency: Practical knowledge of SQL, data mapping, API integration specs, and Agile delivery tools (Jira & Confluence).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Product Owner in Core Banking / International Banking IT projects.
• Language Skills: Fluent/Native-level English (C1/C2) – both written and spoken. Must be able to lead workshops, draft technical specifications, and communicate with European/UK vendors and regulators.
• Domain Knowledge: Working knowledge across core banking systems, with functional familiarity in one or more of the following:
  • Treasury & Trade Finance
  • SWIFT Messaging (MT / MX ISO 20022)
