Job summary

Baryonic Space in Ankara, Turkey, is seeking a Communications Systems Software Engineer to design and maintain real-time ground segment software. You will develop reliable link establishment, data transfer, and modem control across assets.

Responsibilities include implementing protocols, building real-time data pipelines, interfacing with hardware interfaces, and deploying services in Docker with CI/CD. Strong C++/Go and Python skills required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 3+ years of experience developing software for communication systems, embedded systems, or RF ground equipment.
• Proficient in C++ (or Go) for real-time applications and performance-critical code.
• Experience with Python for prototyping, testing, and data analysis; familiarity with FastAPI.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Git, unit tests, and automated testing.
• Practical experience with agentic AIs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement communication protocols for ground receiver modems.
• Build real-time data pipelines using C++ or Go microservices.
• Interface with UART, I2C, SPI, TCP/UDP and serial protocols.
• Develop store-and-forward networking with Bundle Protocol and LTP.
• Deploy and manage services in Docker with CI/CD pipelines.
• Handle routing, reverse proxying (Nginx/Caddy), load balancing, and socket programming.
• Write automated unit and integration tests; perform hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Maintain ICDs, API docs, and operation procedures.
