Job summary

Baryonic Space is seeking a CubeSat Operator in Ankara, Turkey to execute spacecraft operations across the full mission lifecycle. You will manage nominal and contingency operations, telemetry monitoring, mission planning, and coordination with ground segment assets.

The role emphasizes high-stakes, real-time decision making, strict procedural execution, and collaboration with planning and engineering teams. Remote work is not indicated; on-site presence in Ankara is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in an operations-focused environment with remote monitoring/control, mission operations, UAV/drone operations, or other safety-critical roles.
• Ability to perform under high-stakes, real-time conditions with strong procedural discipline.
• Experience interpreting telemetry and monitoring system health metrics.
• Ability to internalize operational manuals and understand platform behaviors and limitations.
• Basic understanding of orbital mechanics concepts (LEO, pass geometry, orbit types).
• Experience with telemetry, tracking, and control systems or analogous platforms.
• Willingness to work shift-based schedules including LEOP, commissioning, anomaly response, and weekend support.
• Strong analytical mindset and collaborative communication in a team or independent setting.

Responsibilities

• Execute spacecraft commanding and monitoring to support nominal and contingency operations.
• Perform formation keeping, payload tasking, and routine constellation operations based on mission requirements.
• Monitor telemetry and spacecraft health metrics for safe operations.
• Execute emergency procedures and contingency responses to maintain safety and continuity.
• Identify, triage, root cause, and elevate anomalies; support resolution workflows.
• Support mission lifecycle operations including launch, LEOP, commissioning, orbital maneuvers, and routine ops.
