Job summary

Çimsa is seeking a Raw Material Engineer to oversee mining-site activities, ensure safe, efficient and sustainable operations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize raw material processes.

The ideal candidate will hold a Mining Engineering degree with at least 2 years in cement/mining/manufacturing, a Permanent Supervisory Engineer certificate, English at B2, and be willing to relocate to Mersin for an on-site role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cement, mining, or manufacturing.
• Permanent Supervisory Engineer (Daimi Nezaretçi) certificate.
• Strong knowledge of mining licensing and regulatory permitting processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• English proficiency at B2 level.
• Willingness to relocate to Mersin.
• Valid Class B driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure raw material production activities at assigned mining sites comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• Manage production in line with quality standards, process requirements, and production plans.
• Prepare annual budget for the area and monitor performance.
• Develop, implement, and monitor efficiency, digitalization, and continuous improvement projects for raw material processes.
• Analyze production processes and lead improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Procurement to conduct cost-benefit analyses for raw materials and alternatives.
• Research and develop alternative raw material solutions aligned with sustainability goals.
• Coordinate licensing, permitting, and regulatory compliance with authorities and stakeholders.

In line with this vision, we are looking for a Raw Material Engineer who will contribute to the safe, efficient, and sustainable management of our raw material operations and oversee production activities at our mining sites in compliance with legal regulations, quality standards, and operational objectives.

In this role, you will support Çimsa's sustainable mining approach, collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, and play an active role in the continuous improvement of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that raw material production activities at assigned mining sites are carried out in compliance with applicable legislation and regulations.
• Manage raw material production in line with established quality standards, process requirements, and production plans.
• Prepare the annual budget for the area of responsibility and regularly monitor budget performance.
• Develop, implement, and monitor efficiency, digitalization, and continuous improvement projects related to raw material processes.
• Analyze production processes and lead improvement initiatives to enhance quality and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with the Procurement team to conduct cost-benefit analyses for raw materials and alternative raw material sources.
• Research, evaluate, and develop alternative raw material solutions in line with the company's sustainability objectives.
• Coordinate licensing, permitting, and regulatory compliance processes with relevant authorities and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the cement, mining, or manufacturing industry.

Technical Qualifications

• Holder of a Permanent Supervisory Engineer (Daimi Nezaretçi) certificate.
• Strong knowledge of mining licensing and regulatory permitting processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
