Job summary

DHL Express Türkiye is seeking a motivated IT/Software Engineer to join our hybrid HQ at Istanbul Airport. You will manage development of in-house tools, contribute to R&D projects, and help optimize processes across business units with modern digital solutions.

Responsibilities

• Project management of development of DHL Express Turkey's in-house tools and open source software
• Play a key role in developing new tools and innovative products in the R&D Centre
• Carry out innovative projects to improve and develop processes in business units
• Create process maps and identify areas for IT workflow optimization
• Translate business requirements into system specifications for new applications and projects
• Support R&D, Innovation and funding projects
• Monitor and manage R&D product performance and improvement areas
• Assist with regulatory processes and documentation related to industry and ministry requirements
• Provide on-call support for systems under responsibility when needed

IN THIS JOB YOU WILL:

• Project management of development of DHL Express Turkey's in-house , tools and open source software
• Playing an integral role in the development of new tools and innovative products in our R&D Centre
• Carrying out innovative projects to improve and develop all kinds of processes in business units
• Creating process maps and identifying areas of optimization for IT workflows where appropriate
• Analyze and translate business requirements to system specifications for the new applications and projects
• Supporting to R&D, Innovation and funding projects
• Following the development of Process Improvement and operational management systems & managing these processes
• Contributing to technical roadmap planning and documentation
• Working closely with other departments and stakeholders to build innovative digital tools by following the latest technology in the Sector
• Being the first contact for partner information management regarding our R&D Center
• Promoting standards and good development practices by actively engaging with stakeholders and other departments
• Supporting the application of patent, trademark and utility model registration certificates with R&D projects.
• Ensuring the submission of academic publications to the literature
• Supporting to monitor performance of R&D products and determine improvement areas
• Supporting Regulation processes based on the industry and technology ministry and periodic reporting
• Give on-call support for systems under responsibility whenever needed

YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in a Computer, Industrial or Software Engineering, or relevant departments
• Preferably 1-2 years of IT experience
• Able to work in a hybrid work model at the Istanbul Airport (IGA) Headquarters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Turkish
• Preferably experience in IT R&D projects
• Know-how of developing digitalization at a technology company
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of software development tools
• Knowledge and following of project management methodologies
• Knowledge of preparing analysis document, project documentation and project presentations
