Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in Bursa is seeking an Airfreight Specialist to manage end-to-end air freight export and import shipments, ensuring operational excellence and high customer satisfaction.

You will coordinate airline bookings, prepare documents, monitor shipments, and collaborate with internal teams and overseas offices.

A university degree and at least 3 years in air freight operations are required; Turkish and English communication, Excel skills, and a customer‑focused mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• IATA Dangerous Goods Certification is an advantage
• Excellent communication skills in Turkish and English (written and spoken)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Excellent teamwork and coordination skills
• Residence in Bursa
• No military service obligation (for male candidates)

Responsibilities

• Manage export and import shipments on a door-to-door basis.
• Coordinate bookings with airlines and monitor shipment progress.
• Prepare and control shipping documents and operational data.
• Create and maintain accurate cost, revenue, and billing records.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, KPIs, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare customer quotations and follow up on business opportunities.
• Support gross profit growth through file management and cost optimization.
• Build strong customer relationships and deliver excellent customer service.
• Handle shipment irregularities, claims, and operational issues proactively.
• Promote DHL services, including cargo insurance solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, overseas offices, carriers, and suppliers.

The role includes shipment coordination, carrier bookings, documentation, customer communication, billing, and quotation management.
