Job summary

Robert Bosch Group in Turkey seeks a senior mechanical design engineer to lead end-to-end development of complex parts and assemblies for series production. You will drive 3D modeling, tolerance analyses, and robust calculations, ensuring manufacturability and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
5+ years of proven experience in the design and development of parts and assemblies for series production (preferably HVAC).
Expertise in modern manufacturing methods (plastics, die casting, machining, and sealing technologies).
Strong command of GD&T, material selection, tolerance analysis, and lifecycle management practices.
Advanced CAD/PLM skills (UG NX, Teamcenter, SAP) and familiarity with CAE tools (FEA, CFD).
Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking, design thinking, and holistic problem-solving to complex engineering projects.
Experience in supplier management, cross-functional collaboration, and technical negotiations.
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills with a global team mindset.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end design and development of complex mechanical components from concept to series production.
Apply critical and design thinking to generate and optimize robust solutions with a holistic system view.
Drive 3D modeling, tolerance stack-ups, and advanced calculations (stress, thermal, durability).
Own lifecycle management from requirements and prototyping to validation and production.
Manage supplier technical alignment from feasibility to design validation, balancing cost and quality.
Apply quality and risk tools (DFMEA, DRBFM, 8D, FTA) to prevent issues and ensure design robustness.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation including specifications and justification reports.
Provide design leadership, guiding stakeholders and enabling team contributions to success.
Contribute to design discussions with system-level insights and innovation mindset.
