Job summary

Guess Europe Sagl is seeking a proactive Quality Controller to join the Nearshore Quality team in Turkey. You will ensure transparency across our supplier base by providing timely insights into factory performance, product quality, and production challenges.

You will work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify risks, support issue resolution, and uphold consistent quality standards across all suppliers. Domestic travel across Turkey and neighboring regions will be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in quality control, inspection, or quality assurance within textile, apparel, or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, workmanship standards, measurements, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to conduct inline and final inspections in supplier facilities and assess products against approved specifications and quality standards.
• Understand production processes and identify potential quality and delivery risks early.
• Experience monitoring production status and following up on quality issues through resolution.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain quality records in relevant systems.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate inspection results and make recommendations on shipment readiness and product release.
• Confidence in escalating critical quality issues impacting delivery timelines, customer satisfaction, or business performance.
• Experience in supplier quality management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with suppliers and factory management.
• Ability to understand supplier capabilities and support preventive quality measures.
• Willingness to travel frequently and maintain factory presence across Turkey, Morocco, Tunisia, and Egypt.
• Excellent communication skills collaborating cross-functionally with sourcing and internal stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and proactive problem-solving.

Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will help identify risks early, support issue resolution, and contribute to maintaining consistent quality standards across the supplier base.

• Proven experience in quality control, inspection, or quality assurance within the textile, apparel, or manufacturing industry.

• Strong knowledge of garment construction, workmanship standards, measurements, and finishing techniques.

• Ability to conduct inline and final inspections in supplier facilities and assess products against approved specifications and quality standards.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in garment quality, production, or technical roles.
  • Experience working with international brands, retailers, sourcing offices, or manufacturers.
  • Strong factory-facing experience and ability to work independently at supplier facilities.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Turkey, Morocco, Tunisia, and Egypt.
  • Strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes and quality assurance principles.
  • Multi-category product knowledge across Woven, Knit/Jersey, and Denim.
  • Experience supporting Ladies’, Men’s, and Kids’ product categories.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across different product categories and consumer segments.
