Job summary

Ericsson in Izmir, Turkey is seeking an IT Test Engineer to join our QA team. You will design and execute functional and performance tests, identify defects, validate test environments, and ensure our IT applications are ready for reliable production releases.

You will work closely with development and cross-functional teams, analyzing requirements, maintaining test data, and contributing to test automation and QA processes to improve coverage and reduce production defects.

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing, QA, or a related IT testing role.
• Understanding of testing methodologies and the defect lifecycle.
• Experience designing and executing functional tests.
• Knowledge of performance testing concepts; scripting is preferred.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
• Ability to prepare test environments and validate test data.

Responsibilities

• Analyze functional requirements and design IT test cases.
• Plan, design, and execute functional and performance testing activities.
• Develop and maintain performance test scripts and perform related unit testing.
• Execute manual and automated test cases and report results.
• Prepare, validate, and maintain test environments, data, and scenarios.
• Troubleshoot IT applications and investigate issues.
• Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools.
• Retest resolved defects and manage the defect lifecycle.
• Collaborate with development teams to analyze issues and ensure timely fixes.
• Contribute to improving test coverage, automation, and QA processes.
• Support stable releases by identifying quality risks.
