Job summary

MR.DIY Türkiye is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor with 7+ years of retail buying experience to lead supplier relationships, manage a team, and drive profitability. The role focuses on sourcing new suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, and overseeing pricing and inventory in line with local SKU targets.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Economics and Administrative Sciences, excel in data analysis, and travel to fairs and suppliers as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Economics and Administrative Sciences.
• 7+ years of experience in purchasing, especially in retail.
• Minimum 2 years of direct team management experience is required.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Continuously sourcing for new suppliers / manufacturers in the local region.
• Responsible for managing and developing direct reports, including coaching, and workload allocation.
• Manage the day-to-day activities and priorities of the direct reports.
• Attending fairs to track trends, look for new products and new suppliers.
• Tracking and analyzing sales reports to review product sales performance.
• Preparing new product proposals and price comparisons by market surveys to meet local SKU targets.
• Collaborating with suppliers and global team to review product range from selection to delivery.
• Supporting stores and warehouse in local purchasing of needed products.
• Liaising with the global team for purchasing processes.
• Attending regular meetings with the global team.

PURCHASING SUPERVISOR

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from the department of Engineering or Economics and Administrative Sciences,
• 7+ years of experience in purchasing, especially in retail,
• Minimum 2 years of direct team management experience is required,
• Preferably experienced in household, toys, stationary and seasonal categories,
• Strong knowledge of retail purchasing processes, supplier management, pricing, and profitability,
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales, margin, inventory, and market data,
• Results-oriented mindset with strong commercial awareness,
• Proven experience in supplier negotiations and commercial terms management,
• Fluency in both written and spoken English,
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Eg. Excel, PowerPoint),
• Analytical thinking, problem solving and strong negotiation /communication skills,
• Self-disciplined and quick learner,
• Being teamwork-oriented,
• No restrictions for frequent supplier and warehouse visits and fairs.
