Job summary

TCI Aircraft Interiors in Pendik, Türkiye, is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to lead procurement for aircraft components in serial production projects. You will manage supplier networks, negotiate terms, and optimize costs and lead times across global aviation suppliers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 5+ years in aviation supply chain or procurement, strong English, and proficiency with ERP systems (AXAPTA).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Aeronautical/Manufacturing).
• 5+ years in Supply Chain/Procurement, preferably in Aviation.
• Knowledge of supply chain management for aviation components.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes like molding, machining and composites.
• Strong English, both technical and communicative, is required.
• Experience with supplier management, negotiations and contracts.
• Advanced MS Office skills; AXAPTA experience preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier market research for domestic and international sources.
• Analyze costs and lead times to meet project targets.
• Support project cost/timing targets throughout lifecycle.
• Manage procurement for components and materials in serial production.
• Participate in supply chain planning and material requests analysis.
• Oversee aviation supplier network and identify new sources.
• Evaluate suppliers on pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with STA and internal teams to improve cost/quality delivery.
• Efficiently use ERP tools (AXAPTA) for procurement processes.
• Negotiate prices, define terms, and finalize supplier agreements.
• Monitor stock levels and optimize inventory management.
• Search for alternative components when necessary.
• Communicate technical quality requirements with suppliers.
• Ensure cross-functional coordination throughout project processes.
• Contribute to quality system processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain / Procurement (preferably in the Aviation industry)
• Knowledge and experience in supply chain management (preferably in Aviation)
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, machining, composite materials, and vacuum forming
• Ability to understand the properties and applications of components used in aviation
• Strong command of English, both technical and communicative
• Strong skills in supplier management, negotiation, and contract administration
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (preferably AXAPTA)
• High reporting capability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify domestic and international suppliers for required products.
• Take an analytical approach to cost and lead time management.
• Actively contribute to achieving project cost and timing targets.
• Manage procurement processes for components and materials in serial production projects.
• Play an active role in supply chain planning and analyzing material requests.
• Manage the supplier network in the aviation industry and identify new suppliers.
• Conduct supplier evaluations based on pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with the Supplier Technical Assurance (STA) Department to follow up on supplier performance related to cost, quality, and delivery.
• Efficiently manage procurement processes using ERP systems (preferably AXAPTA).
• Conduct price negotiations with suppliers, define contract terms, and finalize agreements.
• Optimize material stock and monitor inventory management processes.
• Search for alternative components that can replace current parts when necessary.
• Communicate technical quality requirements to suppliers in accordance with company procedures.
• Ensure coordination by cooperating with internal teams throughout project processes.
• Actively participate in quality system processes.
