Job summary

AGRANA Fruit is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join our team at the Altınova plant near Yalova. You will manage local and import procurement, negotiate with suppliers, and coordinate with the Global Procurement Organization.

The role requires a university degree and 4+ years of purchasing experience, along with strong Excel and SAP skills and excellent English proficiency. You will operate at both strategic and operational levels in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in Food Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, etc.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Purchasing.
• Ability to combine procurement processes and enhance systems.
• Adapt to a fast-working environment at strategic and operational levels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Purchases and organizes deliveries of raw materials and other needs (local and import) under Purchasing Manager guidance.
• Manage both operational tasks (Order Processing & Strategic Procurement) and safety stock with Warehouse Responsible.
• Follow market trends and coordinate with AGRANA Fruit Global Procurement Organization (GPO).
• Lead negotiations on terms with suppliers and draft agreements.
• Analyze current and future purchase requirements and monitor market trends.
• Maintain supplier contacts and search for new suppliers.
• Coordinate/manage claims procedures and ensure proper documentation flow.
• Prepare required reports and track KPIs.
• Establish agreements with shipping companies and research new carriers.
• Handle all types of warehouse, logistics, and raw material procurement activities.

Candidates are expected to have the following qualifications and skills:

• University Degree in Food Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering etc,
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English,
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Purchasing,
• Ability to combine the procurement processes and enhance the systems, in order to make our job easier to get done,
• Ability to adapt to a fast-working environment and willing to work at both strategically and operational levels,
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially good knowledge in excel and SAP will be an asset,

Job Description:

• Purchases and organizes deliveries of the raw materials and other needs (both local and import) under the supervision of Purchasing Manager (in accordance with the agreed budgets and operational plans),
• Both operational such as Order Processing & Strategic Procurement Activities as well as managing safety stocks level with the help of Warehouse Responsible,
• Follow- up of market trends and developments in the related categories, both locally and in coordination with the Agrana Fruit Global Procurement Organization, called GPO,
• Leads the negotiations on commercial terms with suppliers at all levels and preparation of agreements,
• Continuously examines and analyzes current and potential purchase requirements / needs (to be extended further…),
• Monitors market in the area of delegation, trends, information about suppliers, etc,
• Maintains contacts with the suppliers for the trusted cooperation, searches for and establishes contacts with new suppliers,
• Coordinates / manages claims procedures within the area of delegation,
• Prepares required reports and follows up KPIs,
• Ensures proper documentation flow in the area of delegation.
• Establish agreements with all shipping companies and research new shipping companies (inbound, outbound, bound).
• Handle all types of warehouse, logistics, services, and raw material procurement and being responsible for any kind of procurement activities.
