Job summary

Metso in Ankara seeks a Pump field Service Engineer to join the Pump Sales team. You will execute the yearly sales plan, manage key customer relationships, and provide on-site technical support for pumps, hydrocyclone, hoses and valves in mining and related industries.

You will travel domestically and internationally, build cross-functional collaborations, and uphold safety and quality standards while driving sales growth and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must possess an engineering degree or equivalent hands-on industry experience in mechanical, maintenance, industrial, or related fields.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset with excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Execute the yearly sales plan, identifying new business opportunities and maximizing sales within the assigned territory.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers at all organizational levels, particularly with maintenance teams, supervisors, and operators.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries regarding pricing, delivery, product details, reliability improvement, spare parts optimization, wear life optimization, life time extension trials, root cause analysis and technical troubleshooting.
• Provide hands-on field support whenever necessary to assist customers in resolving operational and technical challenges.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement customer-specific sales strategies.
• Maintain a strong company image by demonstrating professionalism, in-depth product knowledge, and an understanding of customer needs.
• Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring a smooth flow of communication.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Support customers in inventory management and spare parts planning to optimize equipment availability and minimize downtime.
• Travel extensively for client meetings, industry events, and on-site sales and technical support activities.
