Job summary

ABB, located in Dilovası Kocaeli with a hybrid work model, is seeking a Project Engineer to support MV primary AIS switchgear projects. You will provide technical details, costs, and deliverables for sales proposals and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery within quality and safety guidelines.

You will design electrical systems, program protection relays, and prepare design outputs while collaborating across teams. Strong English and familiarity with E-Plan/AutoCAD are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduated in Electrical Engineering or relevant department.
• Minimum 5 years of design experience in switchgear projects (LV/MV).
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• E-Plan knowledge is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project from start to delivery and ensure timely completion within budget and quality guidelines.
• Create electrical designs using E-Plan and AutoCAD tools.
• Configure and program protection relays for switchgear.
• Prepare design output documentation and standards.
• Monitor non-conformance reports and implement preventive actions.
• Contribute to standardization projects and technical documentation.

This position reports to:

Engineering Manager

Working location: Dilovası Kocaeli (Hbyrid Model)

Your Role And Responsibilities

Working as a Project Engineer, you will be the support person for various MV primary AIS switchgear engineering projects in MV primary AIS, Electrification, Distribution Solutions, providing technical details, costs and deliverables for sales proposals. In this role, you will make technical recommendations in various phases of customer projects to ensure successful delivery of project deliverables on time, within budget and in line with quality and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Following up the project from beginning to the delivery
• Making electrical design using the necessary tools and programs (E-Plan, AutoCAD)
• Making protection relay programming
• Preparing the documentations for design output,
• Following non-conformance reports and taking necessary preventive actions
• Writing technical and material standards
• Working on standardization projects

Qualifications

• Graduated from Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electrical Teaching, Automation Engineering or relevant departments
• Minimum 5 years of experience in design of switchgear projects (Experience in Low Voltage Switchgears or Medium Voltage Switchgears will be plus)
• Good command of written and spoken English is must
• E-Plan knowledge is preferable
• Analytical mindset with strong planning and self-learning skills
• Strong ability to follow up and pay attention to the details in the projects
• Suitable to work with different projects at the same time
