We are looking for a Production Manager Rolling Mill (located in Bulgaria), a leading steel manufacturing sector in the company.

Responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership and management of Rolling Mill operations, ensuring production targets, quality requirements, and business objectives are consistently achieved.
• Lead, motivate, and develop Rolling Mill teams, including Line Managers and production personnel, through effective performance management, coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
• Plan, implement, and monitor production schedules to ensure the optimal utilisation of plant, equipment, and workforce resources while maximising productivity and minimising downtime.
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), production performance, equipment reliability, downtime, and breakdown trends, implementing corrective actions to improve operational efficiency.
• Manage workforce planning and administration, including shift scheduling, attendance management, disciplinary processes, and employee development initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles, focusing on productivity enhancement, waste reduction, and process optimisation.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering and Maintenance teams to coordinate preventive maintenance activities and ensure operational continuity.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, maintaining strict adherence to the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and company policies.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, operational excellence, and continuous improvement throughout the Rolling Mill operation. Provide strategic operational reporting to senior management, including immediate escalation of breakdowns, product failures, safety incidents, or risks that may impact production targets or operational performance.
• Ensure strong operational governance through accurate reporting, adherence to company policies, and the consistent enforcement of standards across the Rolling Mill operations.
