Job summary

Local chemical manufacturer in Çorlu is seeking a Production Manager to oversee and optimize chemical raw materials production. You will monitor operations, drive process improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety and quality.

The ideal candidate holds a chemical engineering or chemistry degree, 8–10 years of experience in chemical production, PU production is preferred, and English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
• 8–10 years of proven experience in chemical raw material production and manufacturing processes.
• PU production experience is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience on the production floor with batch reactor-based processes.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
• Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma training is preferred.
• Based in Çorlu or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily production operations and ensure adherence to production plans.
• Lead process efficiency, work study, and process improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
• Develop, optimize, and commission production processes for new products.
• Plan and optimize workforce, machine capacity, time, and raw materials.
• Track KPIs like scrap, downtime, and efficiency; implement improvements.
• Conduct root cause analysis and sustain corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, R&D, Quality, Planning, and other teams.

Our client is a leading local chemical manufacturer based in Çorlu, specializing in innovative and sustainable chemical solutions for the textile, paint, and coating industries.

We are looking for a Production Manager to join our client's manufacturing team and take an active role in managing, improving, and optimizing production processes within the chemical manufacturing industry.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
• 8-10 years of proven experience in "chemical raw material production and manufacturing processes".
• Experience in Polyurethane (PU) production is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience in batch reactor-based chemical production and reaction processes, with solid experience working on the production floor.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Training or certification in Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma is preferred.
• Based in Çorlu or willing to relocate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily production operations and ensure compliance with the production plan.
• Conduct process efficiency, work study, and process improvement activities across production operations.
• Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety requirements and quality standards.
• Take an active role in the development, optimization, and commissioning of production processes for new products.
• Contribute to the effective planning and utilization of workforce, machine capacity, time, and raw materials.
• Monitor key production performance indicators, including scrap, rework, downtime, and production efficiency, and develop improvement actions accordingly.
• Conduct root cause analysis of production-related problems and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
• Work closely with Maintenance, R&D, Quality, Planning, and other relevant teams to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma initiatives.
• Support the development of the production team and ensure the sustainability of shop-floor standards and best practices.
