Job summary

Mapei Yapı Kimyasalları seeks a Process Engineer to be based at the Polatlı plant. The Plant Junior Process Engineer supports the Unit Manager to monitor KPI and identify actions to improve capacity and efficiency across Operations Departments.

Ideal candidates will hold a Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree, have multinational manufacturing experience, and communicate in English. A proactive, hands-on team player with strong analytical skills is essential for ongoing optimization.

Qualifications

• English is a must; other languages are a plus (Italian, French, Spanish, German).
• Experience in a manufacturing or process plant environment in multinational companies.
• Good technical knowledge of industry practices and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to quickly gain technical and contextual elements of a project.

Responsibilities

• Support Unit Manager in projects related to new production lines and revamps.
• Assist in analyzing production and logistics KPIs to identify improvements.
• Cooperate with QC, Production, warehouse, logistics, and maintenance to improve processes.
• Support start-up of Production Lines and feasibility of Industrial Tests.
• Assist with packaging introductions and improvements.
• Support planning activities in cooperation with Production and UM.
• Implement corporate procedures and best practices.
• Train Operations personnel in cooperation with HSE for safe, efficient output.

Skills and Competencies

• Graduation: Chemical/Mechanical Engineer,
• Experience in a manufacturing or process plant environment in multinational companies,
• Language: English is a must, other languages are a plus (Italian, French, Spanish, German),
• Good technical knowledge of industry practices,
• Ability to quickly gain the technical and contextual elements of a project,
• Not afraid to get hands dirty and passionate for manufacturing,
• Ability to being focused on the target; good organizational and analytical skills,
• Ability to build strong relationships with people at all levels and attitude to maintain in the project team a culture of teamwork.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• To support Unit Manager in projects related to new production lines, modification or revamping of the existing ones and projects related to warehouse and internal logistics extension/modification,
• Assist in analyzing production and logistic KPIs to find areas of improvements and support decided actions to optimize existing processes, improving efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize waste,
• To cooperate with QC and Production, warehouse and logistics and maintenance in developing or improving operations processes,
• To support the plant for preparation and execution of Production Line start-up,
• To support the plant for feasibility, execution and evaluation of Industrial Tests,
• To support the plant for introduction and improvements of packaging,
• To support the Production and UM for the planning activities,
• To implement corporate procedures, operations methods and best practices,
• To train Operations personnel, in cooperation with HSE, for working in safe and efficient manner, assuring a quality output.
