Job summary

Jotun in Turkey is seeking a seasoned Production Process Engineer to create and maintain optimized production processes ensuring the correct quality and throughput. You will update formulations per Group R&D, coach operators daily, and ensure competitive recipes within a global R&D framework.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering, 5+ years in paints/chemicals, and strong English/Turkish communication. Relocation to Çerkezköy/Çorlu/Kapaklı is required or feasible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Fluent in English and Turkish, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer skills.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Çerkezköy, Çorlu, or Kapaklı.

Responsibilities

• Create formulations with optimized process parameters for products.
• Update formulations as required by Group R&D.
• Coach production operators on process optimization daily.
• Optimize recipes to stay competitive in local market within R&D framework.
• Provide technical support and cooperate with maintenance.
• Track and address process and quality deviations.
• Investigate product complaints.
• Describe local production process for operator training.
• Provide training to relevant personnel.
• Evaluate need for improvements.
• Prepare, review and revise production standards and work instructions.
• Maintain and regularly update the skill matrix for competency development.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Create and maintain optimised production processes/formulation which ensures the correct quality and quantity of products, including the Right First Time and stable throughput time.

Responsibilities:

• Make formulations available for products with specific and optimised process parameters.
• Update and change formulations as required by Group R&D
• Support and coach production operators with process optimisation on a daily basis
• Optimise recipes to maintain competitiveness in the local market within the framework set by regional and global R&D
• Give technical support and cooperate closely with maintenance
• Follow-up process and quality deviations
• Investigate product complaints
• Describe the local production process for sustainable training of operators.
• Give training to relevant personnel
• Evaluate the need for improvements
• Preparing, reviewing, and revising production standards and work instructions
• Maintaining and regularly updating the skill matrix to ensure employee competency and development

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Turkish, with strong verbal and written communication skills,
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the paint, ink, or petrochemical industry.
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of industrial processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong computer skills.
• Currently residing in or willing to relocate to Çerkezköy, Çorlu, or Kapaklı.
