Job summary

Barilla Turkey is seeking a Temporary Purchasing Specialist for a 1-year contract based in Bolu to join the Supply Chain Team. The role reports to the Purchasing & By-Product Sales Sr. Manager and covers indirect materials, services and packaging sourcing with global procedures.

Key responsibilities include end-to-end purchasing, supplier evaluation, and ensuring compliance with legal and company policies while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and conducting site visits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of purchasing experience in the food industry.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Strong communication, organizational, prioritization skills with analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end purchasing of Indirect Materials and Services.
• Coordinate documentation, invoices and payments with Accounting and Treasury.
• Negotiate prices and supplier terms; conduct supplier evaluations.
• Support packaging material sourcing with the Purchasing team.
• Manage indirect sourcing categories (e.g., MRO, IT) aligned with global strategy.
• Ensure compliance with laws, company policies, and OH&S/Environmental rules.
• Build strong relationships with internal customers and suppliers.
• Conduct regular site and supplier visits.
