Job summary

Blitz Technology is seeking a Procurement Engineer to join our team in Istanbul, Pendik/Kurtköy. You will manage domestic and international procurement for electronic and mechanical components, evaluating suppliers against BOMs and engineering specs, and negotiating terms.

You will work closely with Engineering, Production, and R&D to ensure continuity of supply and cost-efficient sourcing. The role requires reading technical documents, ERP experience (preferably Odoo), and strong English

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Preferably at least 3 years of experience in technical purchasing, procurement or supply chain.
• Knowledge of electronic components, mechanical parts and electronics manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read BOMs, datasheets, technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Odoo, and MS Office.
• Advanced proficiency in English, with ability to communicate with international suppliers.
• Strong research, analytical, organizational and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage domestic and international procurement processes for electronic components and other technical materials.
• Identify suitable products and suppliers based on BOMs, drawings and engineering requirements.
• Evaluate supplier quotations on technical compliance, cost, lead time, and terms.
• Communicate with suppliers and manage RFQs, quotations, POs, confirmations and delivery follow-up.
• Support commercial negotiations regarding pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Research alternatives for critical or long-lead components in coordination with engineering teams.
• Track procurement activities through ERP, ensuring accurate records and documentation.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, R&D and Engineering to support inventory and continuity of supply.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness.
• Develop new suppliers to diversify and strengthen the supply chain.

About the Position

Blitz Technology is looking for a Procurement Engineer to join our team and contribute to the production and development processes of our Gimbal ISR Systems and Video Processing Modules.

The position is based at our office in the Pendik/Kurtköy area of Istanbul.

We are looking for a candidate who can effectively manage technical procurement processes, work closely with engineering and production teams, and develop reliable domestic and international supplier networks.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage domestic and international procurement processes for electronic components, mechanical parts, electromechanical components, optical components, and other technical materials.
• Identify suitable products and suppliers based on BOMs, technical documentation, drawings, datasheets, and engineering requirements.
• Evaluate supplier quotations in terms of technical compliance, cost, lead time, availability, and commercial conditions.
• Communicate with domestic and international suppliers and manage the full procurement cycle, including RFQs, quotations, purchase orders, order confirmations, and delivery follow-up.
• Support commercial negotiations regarding pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other purchasing conditions.
• Research alternative components, products, and suppliers, particularly for critical, obsolete, or long-lead-time components, in close coordination with the relevant engineering teams.
• Manage and track procurement activities through the ERP system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, R&D, and Engineering teams to support inventory management, continuity of supply, and production requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery performance, and responsiveness.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new domestic and international suppliers to strengthen and diversify the company's supply chain.

General Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Preferably at least 3 years of experience in technical purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
• Knowledge of electronic components, mechanical parts, and basic electronics manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret BOMs, datasheets, technical drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Odoo, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively with international suppliers.
• Strong research, analytical, organizational, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in electronics, electromechanical manufacturing, defense, aerospace, or other high-technology industries.

Procurement experience involving one or more of the following:

• Electronic components
• Mechanical parts
• PCB / PCBA
• Cameras and imaging sensors
• Optical components
• Electromechanical components

Familiarity with global electronic component manufacturers, authorized distributors, and international sourcing channels.

Experience in alternative component sourcing and cross-reference analysis.

Familiarity with EOL (End-of-Life), obsolescence management, and product lifecycle management for electronic components.

Basic knowledge of international procurement, logistics, shipping, import procedures, and customs processes.
