Job summary

Jotun is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to create and continuously optimise production processes and formulations. You will ensure Right First Time outputs, support daily process improvements, and collaborate with maintenance and R&D to keep processes compliant with global standards.

The role requires 2+ years in chemical manufacturing, a chemistry background, and bilingual English/Turkish communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Min. 2 years of work experience, preferably in chemical manufacturing.
• Fluent in English and Turkish, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of production organization tools is preferred (5S, SMED etc.).

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain optimised production processes/formulation ensuring Right First Time and stable throughput.
• Update and change processes as required from Group and Regional R&D.
• Support and coach production operators with process optimization daily.
• Optimize processes to maintain competitiveness within regional/global R&D framework.
• Provide technical support and cooperate closely with maintenance.
• Follow up on process and quality deviations and investigate product complaints.
• Describe local production process for training of operators.
• Provide training to relevant personnel.
• Evaluate need for improvements.
• Provide compliance documents for standards/directives like IATF, ISO, REACH, ROHS, and food contact.
