Position Overview
We are looking for a Port Commercial Executive to drive sales and business development activities within our port operations. You will manage customer relationships, monitor market developments, and identify new commercial opportunities, while contributing to operational efficiency and digitalization initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute sales activities in line with the company's sales policies and budget
- Manage and develop customer relationships to achieve sales targets
- Ensure customer satisfaction by coordinating customer inquiries, issues, and requests with relevant departments
- Closely monitor industry and market developments, and conduct market research to identify new opportunities
- Responsible for customer quotations, payment tracking, and reporting processes
- Create accurate monthly and annual sales forecasts
- Contribute to the company by improving operational business processes
- Create and manage strategic business development opportunities in existing and new lines of business
- Support bid/proposal preparations for new business opportunities and help facilitate strategic agreements
- Contribute to innovation and digitalization projects that increase the efficiency of business processes
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Administrative Sciences, preferably from a Faculty of Maritime; a Master's degree is considered an asset
- Minimum 8 years of experience in sales operations, preferably within the Port Operations or Logistics industry
- Knowledge of port operations
- Experience in international RoRo and bonded warehouse (antrepo) operations is considered an asset
- Able to work flexible hours
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications
- Advanced command of English; knowledge of German is a plus
