Job summary

DP World is seeking a Mobile Equipment & Workshop Specialist to join our Technical team in İzmit. The role focuses on reliability, maintenance, and continuous improvement of mobile equipment and workshop operations, to maximize availability and ensure safety and environmental standards.

You will collaborate with technicians to analyze performance data, conduct RCA and predictive maintenance, read schematics, and support CMMS like Maximo while documenting activities and driving Lean improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance, repair, or projects related to heavy mobile equipment.
• Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance, repair, and reliability of mobile equipment including Reach Stackers, Empty Container Handlers, Terminal Tractors, and Forklifts.
• Monitor equipment performance using KPIs such as MTBF, preventive maintenance compliance, availability, and utilization.
• Perform RCA and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Carry out predictive maintenance and diagnostic activities to improve reliability.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation.
• Ensure workshop activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance on electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Support implementation of Lean and CI initiatives.

DP World is looking for a Mobile Equipment & Workshop Specialist to join our Technical team. This role is responsible for supporting the reliability, maintenance, and continuous improvement of mobile equipment and workshop operations. The successful candidate will contribute to maximizing equipment availability, improving maintenance quality, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards while working closely with technicians and cross-functional teams.

Your Responsibilities:

• upport the maintenance, repair, and reliability of mobile equipment including Reach Stackers (RS), Empty Container Handlers (ECH), Terminal Tractors (TT), and Forklifts (FL).
• Monitor equipment performance through key maintenance and operational KPIs such as MTBF, preventive maintenance compliance, availability, utilization, fuel consumption, and emissions.
• Analyse recurring equipment failures, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Perform predictive maintenance and diagnostic activities to improve equipment reliability.
• Conduct maintenance quality inspections and ensure repairs are completed in accordance with company standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to technicians on electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Support the implementation of Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, technical documentation, and analysis reports.
• Ensure workshop activities comply with health, safety, environmental, quality, and company standards.
• Monitor compliance with legal regulations, company procedures, and ISO management systems.
• Promote a strong safety culture by exercising stop-work authority whenever unsafe conditions are identified.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve operational efficiency and equipment performance.
• Perform other technical duties as assigned by the Mobile Equipment & Workshop Manager.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Hydraulic Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance, repair, engineering, or project activities related to heavy mobile equipment.
• Experience working with electrical, electronic, hydraulic, engine, transmission, and mechanical systems.
• Experience with container terminal equipment or similar heavy industrial machinery is preferred.
• Knowledge of maintenance and repair activities for Reach Stackers, Empty Container Handlers, Terminal Tractors, Forklifts, or similar heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.
• Experience using diagnostic software for heavy mobile equipment.
• Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques including vibration analysis, thermal imaging, ultrasonic testing, and oil analysis.
• Experience with CMMS systems such as Maximo.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA is an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
• Teamwork and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies (Kaizen, 5S, A3, etc.).
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Valid Class B driving licence.
• Ability to work at heights.
