Job summary

Harmony Construction Management Consultancy is seeking an experienced Planning Expert to lead planning and scheduling on large-scale, complex construction programmes in Türkiye and internationally.

The role is hybrid, with periodic site visits, requiring strong analytical, stakeholder-management skills and proficiency in Primavera P6, Synchro and 4D planning tools. Relocation may be supported for site-based work in Northern Europe.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading planning and scheduling on large-scale, complex construction programmes.
• Proficiency in planning and programme software; baseline development, progress updating, resource loading and critical-path analysis.
• Sound grasp of the full project lifecycle, from design through handover, and contract management understanding.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills; able to lead planning reviews, meetings and workshops.

Responsibilities

• Own the build of fully logic-linked baseline programmes in Primavera P6 with a defensible critical path.
• Develop construction (target) programmes to expose time recoveries and improve sequencing.
• Produce procurement and tender-event schedules for subcontract packages; map design-release gates and lead-in windows.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to firm durations, lead-ins, design deliverables and resource demand.
• Run progress updates, S-curves and earned-value analysis to gauge performance.
• Set up and maintain tracking schedules; assess time impacts of variations and changes with prompt decisions.
• Lead the planning function through pre-construction and on-site phases; report status to project leadership.
• Act as planning interface with client; present and defend programme position in meetings.

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Planning Expert to join our growing team and contribute to the successful delivery of complex construction projects in Türkiye and internationally.

This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work from various locations while actively contributing to dynamic construction projects in Türkiye and internationally, with periodic site visits as required. The position involves close collaboration with project teams and participation in site meetings or visits as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Extensive experience leading planning and scheduling on large-scale, complex construction programmes.
• Proficiency in planning and programme software; baseline development, progress updating, resource loading and critical-path analysis.
• Sound grasp of the full project lifecycle, from design through handover, and a strong understanding of contract management.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills; comfortable leading planning reviews, meetings and workshops.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills - confident and credible representing the project directly to the client and senior stakeholders, and holding the programme position under scrutiny.
• Willing and able to be site-based in Northern Europe for the duration of the assignment (relocation supported).
• Degree in civil engineering, construction, project management or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience using Synchro and 4D planning tools to their full potential
• Membership of a professional body such as CIOB, PMP or APM.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Own the build of fully logic-linked baseline programmes in Primavera P6 that set out a clear, defensible critical path.
• Develop construction (target) programmes that expose where time can be recovered and sequencing improved against the baseline.
• Produce procurement and tender-event schedules for subcontract packages, mapping design-release gates and lead-in windows.
• Work with subcontractors and suppliers to firm up durations, lead-ins, design deliverables and resource demand.

Progress, reporting & earned value

• Run progress updates and measurement, S-curves and earned-value analysis to give a true read on performance.
• Operate look-ahead and what-if scenarios to test the time impact of change before it lands.
• Set up and maintain tracking schedules
• Assess the time impact of variations and change events, supporting prompt, well-evidenced decisions.
• Surface time risks and opportunities, applying float and time-risk allowances and recommending mitigation.
• Support time-entitlement and extension-of-time assessments under the contract (e.g. FIDIC, NEC, JCT), working closely with the commercial team.

Management & team

• Lead the planning function through both pre-construction and on-site phases.
• Report programme status, risk and progress to project leadership on a regular, predictable cycle.
• Act as the planning interface with the client, presenting and defending the programme position in meetings and workshops and representing the project clearly and credibly on its behalf.
• Build trusted working relationships with the client and wider stakeholders, communicating programme intelligence in clear, plain language that supports confident decision-making.
