Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors in a courteous manner and collects necessary information.
• Verifies demographic, clinical, financial, and insurance data for patient registration.
• Ensures accurate entry into the patient accounting system and secures necessary signatures.
• Collects co-payments, co-insurances, deductibles, and balances at check-in; provides financial education as needed.
• Verifies medical necessity and coordinates with physicians/clinicians when needed.
• Obtains physician orders and scans documents into the system.
• Performs pre-registration functions as needed and assists in directing patients.
