Job summary

SabancıDx, Turkey's leading technology company, seeks an Oracle Database Administrator to join the DBA Team. You will manage Oracle databases and Exadata, implement high availability, and drive performance tuning and automation within ITIL-aligned processes.

The role requires 6+ years of hands-on Oracle/Exadata experience, a CS/IS degree, and strong teamwork and documentation skills. Flex hours and night/weekend coverage may be needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience installing, configuring, and administering Oracle databases and Exadata.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
• Strong knowledge of High Availability strategies including Data Guard and RAC.
• Experience in database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Experience with debugging, tuning, performance optimization, and automation of CI processes for RDBMS.
• Experience in data management operations and maintaining operational documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day database maintenance to maximize availability and performance.
• Serve as single point of contact for database operations and requests.
• Monitor database health and capacity and take corrective actions as needed.
• Provide tuning and optimization recommendations to relevant teams.
• Perform database patching and upgrades.
• Monitor and remediate RDBMS and NoSQL batch processes.
• Manage database backups and restores.
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical events.
• Align work with ITIL processes and practices.
