Job summary

SabancıDx, Turkey's leading technology company, seeks an Oracle Database Administrator to join the DBA Team. You will manage Oracle databases and Exadata, implement high availability, and drive performance tuning and automation within ITIL-aligned processes.

The role requires 6+ years of hands-on Oracle/Exadata experience, a CS/IS degree, and strong teamwork and documentation skills. Flex hours and night/weekend coverage may be needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience installing, configuring, and administering Oracle databases and Exadata.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
• Strong knowledge of High Availability strategies including Data Guard and RAC.
• Experience in database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Experience with debugging, tuning, performance optimization, and automation of CI processes for RDBMS.
• Experience in data management operations and maintaining operational documentation.

The Basis Administrator will be responsible for handling and support the production SAP and application environment, installing new systems, leading end to end upgrades, refreshes, patches, maintenance, etc. The candidate must have good teamwork, communication and documentation skills. Candidate must be available to work a flexible work schedule including nights and weekends when needed.

About the Role

We are looking for an Oracle Database Administrator to join our DBA Team.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day database maintenance and take proactive measures to maximize database availability and performance.
• Act as a single point of contact for database operations and manage incoming requests.
• Actively monitor database health and capacity and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Provide database tuning and optimization recommendations to relevant teams.
• Perform database patching and upgrades.
• Monitor and remediate RDBMS and NoSQL batch processes.
• Manage database backup and restore operations.
• Participate in the on-call rotation for critical event handling.
• Work in alignment with ITIL processes and practices.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of hands‑on experience in installing, configuring, and administering Oracle databases and Exadata.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
• Strong knowledge of High Availability strategies, including Data Guard and RAC.
• Strong database performance tuning and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in debugging, tuning, performance optimization, and automation of operational and continuous integration processes for RDBMS platforms.
• Experience in developing and managing data management operations.
• Ability to produce and maintain high-quality operational documentation.
• Ability to participate in business user meetings and effectively understand stakeholder expectations.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and EBS is a plus.
• Experience with encryption and masking of sensitive data is a plus.
