Job summary

ISG - Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport seeks an experienced Database Administrator to ensure mission-critical databases run efficiently, securely, and reliably. You will design, implement, and maintain robust data systems while supporting stakeholders across the organization.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in CS or related field and 5+ years of hands-on DB management with Oracle as a must. Knowledge of cloud platforms and HA strategies is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in managing databases (Oracle is a must).
• Proficient in performance monitoring and query optimization tools.
• Strong understanding of database security, integrity, and access controls.
• Familiar with database backup/restore strategies and high availability setups.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Well-organized and experienced in project-based work.
• Certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure DBA).
• Knowledge of big data, data warehousing, or ETL tools.
• Experience with database replication, clustering, and HA solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud database platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).
• Experience in compliance-driven environments and audit processes.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain database systems (SQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

• Enforce data security policies and perform regular security audits.

• Plan for database capacity and growth.
• Create and maintain up-to-date documentation and procedures.
