Job summary

Savino Del Bene GmbH is seeking an Ocean Freight Senior Operation Specialist to lead day-to-day ocean freight shipments, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and timely delivery across our global network.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years' experience in ocean freight operations, strong English, and a proven track record in coordinating with carriers, customs and internal teams to optimize processes from origin to destination in Beykoz, Turkey.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage ocean freight shipments from origin to destination.
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies.
• Monitor shipments and address delays or issues to ensure on-time delivery.
• Prepare documents such as bills of lading, invoices, and customs declarations.
• Maintain accurate records for audits and regulatory inspections.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients and carriers.
• Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders and internal teams to optimize operations.
• Provide recommendations to senior management based on analysis.

The Ocean Freight Senior Operation Specialist is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of ocean freight shipments, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and timely delivery. This role requires a thorough understanding of ocean freight logistics, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle complex shipments and issues. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in ocean freight operations and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Coordinate and manage ocean freight shipments from origin to destination.

What Will Be The Qualifications We Expect From You?

• Bachelor Degree (Preferably Logistics)
• Minimum 4 years of experience in ocean freight operations, preferably in a freight forwarding or logistics company.
• Good command of English
• Strong understanding of international shipping processes, including ınco terms, customs regulations, and import documentation requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams and external partners.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reporting.
