Job summary

DP World is seeking an experienced HSE Specialist to strengthen our HSSE team and ensure compliance with Turkish law and DP World's global framework. This role focuses on fostering a safe culture across port and terminal operations.

You will lead PPE management, emergency preparedness, risk assessments, contractor safety, and HSE reporting, collaborating with operations and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and safer, more reliable performance.

Qualifications

• 5 years of HSE experience in high-risk environments.
• B-Class Occupational Safety Specialist Certificate.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or OH&S preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish OHS law (Law No. 6331).
• Experience with risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Experience with PPE management and HSE reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage PPE and safety equipment inventories and inspections.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness plans and drills.
• Monitor compliance with Turkish OHS legislation and internal procedures.
• Conduct site inspections and follow up corrective actions.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced HSE Specialist to join our HSSE team and play a key role in strengthening our safety culture while ensuring compliance with legal requirements, international standards, and DP World's global HSE framework..

Your Responsibilities:

• Managing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment, including inventory control, inspections, availability and compliance.
• Coordinating emergency preparedness activities such as emergency response plans, drills and improvement actions.
• Monitoring compliance with occupational health and safety legislation, company standards and internal procedures.
• Conducting site inspections, identifying unsafe conditions and following up corrective and preventive actions.
• Supporting risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analyses and HSE improvement initiatives.
• Coordinating contractor HSE compliance, documentation, committee meetings and performance monitoring.
• Preparing HSE reports, monitoring KPIs and supporting continuous improvement across the business.
• Working closely with operational teams, contractors and stakeholders to promote a proactive safety culture.

Your Profile:

• Minimum B-Class Occupational Safety Specialist Certificate.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience, preferably within port & terminal operations, logistics, industrial facilities or similar high-risk environments.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish Occupational Health & Safety legislation (Law No. 6331).
• Experience in risk assessments, incident investigations, emergency preparedness and contractor safety management.
• Experience with PPE management, safety equipment, emergency response equipment and HSE reporting.
• Good command of Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across different departments while independently managing priorities.
