Job summary

IOM - UN Migration in Ankara invites applications for a role supporting the day-to-day implementation of the Promoting Sustainable and Socially Inclusive Labour Market Integration project. The incumbent will coordinate across units, liaise with authorities, and ensure timely delivery of activities.

The position requires working with migrants and vulnerable groups, and fluency in Turkish and English, with a focus on administrative and coordination tasks in a multilingual environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with three years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organisations.
• Experience working with migrants, refugees, and other vulnerable groups; multi-cultural settings advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities.
• Retrieve, compile, summarise, analyse, and present information/data on specific project topics.
• Monitor budget by verifying availability of funds, obtaining necessary approval and updating budget-related information.
• Act as focal point for administrative coordination of project implementation with diverse units and external parties.
• Draft status reports, identify shortfalls, and suggest remedial actions to address delivery gaps.
• Draft correspondence on project issues; prepare and update reports, briefing notes, graphics, tables, presentations.
• Respond to information requests and organise meetings, workshops and training sessions.
• Participate in meetings to coordinate activities with local authorities, UN agencies, donors and stakeholders.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field
