Job summary

Neapco in Eskişehir, Turkey is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in automotive/manufacturing environments. You will manage preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance for machining, assembly and production systems, diagnose mechanical failures and minimize downtime, and coordinate external services with local and international suppliers.

The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Mechanical Engineering, fluent English, at least 4 years’ experience,

Qualifications

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering and English proficiency.
• Minimum 4 years of mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with maintenance planning, TPM and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Manage preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical support during breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate maintenance for machining, assembly and production equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

• Managing and ensuring the effective execution of preventive, predictive and corrective mechanical maintenance activities,
• Diagnosing mechanical failures on production equipment and implementing effective corrective actions,
• Providing technical support to production teams during machine breakdowns and minimizing equipment downtime,
• Managing maintenance activities for machining, assembly and other manufacturing equipment,
• Working actively on mechanical systems including hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, power transmission, bearings, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors and other industrial equipment,
• Performing root cause analysis for recurring mechanical failures and developing permanent improvement actions,
• Planning and following up preventive and periodic maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance plans,
• Monitoring machine and equipment performance and developing actions to improve reliability and availability,
• Managing maintenance spare parts, identifying critical spare parts and ensuring appropriate stock levels,
• Coordinating external maintenance services and following up the activities of local and international suppliers,
• Preparing technical specifications for mechanical maintenance services, equipment repairs, modifications and engineering works,
• Supporting the installation, commissioning and ramp-up of new machines and production equipment,
• Taking an active role in maintenance-related investment, improvement and automation projects,
• Supporting technical feasibility studies and preparation of maintenance-related investment budgets,
• Preparing and maintaining maintenance procedures, technical documentation and equipment records,
• Monitoring maintenance KPIs such as downtime, MTBF, MTTR and preventive maintenance performance,
• Supporting TPM, 5S, continuous improvement and reliability improvement activities,
• Ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with occupational health and safety and environmental requirements,
• Working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and other departments to improve equipment reliability and production performance.

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related engineering discipline,
• Advanced English including listening, speaking, reading and writing,
• Good command of Microsoft Office programs,
• Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in an automotive or manufacturing environment,
• Strong experience in mechanical maintenance of CNC machines, machining lines, assembly equipment and industrial production systems,
• Good knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, mechanical power transmission and industrial equipment systems,
• Experience in failure analysis, root cause analysis and preventive maintenance,
• Experience with maintenance management systems and maintenance planning,
• Knowledge of TPM, predictive maintenance and reliability improvement methodologies,
• Good technical knowledge of reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, equipment manuals and technical documentation,
• Experience in maintenance project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting and supplier coordination,
• Good command of preparing, reviewing and executing technical projects,
• Actively involved in technical aspects of investment, budget and feasibility studies,
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a result-oriented approach,
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with production teams, engineers, technicians and external suppliers,
• Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to production-critical breakdowns,
• Military obligation completed for male candidates,
• Valid B-class driver's license and willingness to travel locally and internationally when required,
• Already living in or willing to relocate to Eskişehir.
