Job summary

Yazaki Europe Middle East and Africa in Akyazı, Sakarya, seeks a Material Planning Team Leader to lead the material planning team, manage operations, and ensure alignment with production plans.

The role requires strong ERP experience, fluency in English and Turkish, and the ability to optimize supplier lead times, coordinate logistics, produce accurate KPIs, and uphold ISMS and KVKK policies while working closely with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3 to 6 years of solid experience in material planning, supply chain, or production control (auto industry background strongly preferred).
• Demonstrated team leadership capability or experience with process management focus.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in ERP systems (SAP MM, Oracle/Netsis).
• Fluent in English and Turkish (written and spoken).
• Advanced MS Office skills, particularly expert-level MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills with stakeholders across production and external partners.
• Willingness to reside/relocate to Sakarya-Kocaeli provinces.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the material planning team, focusing on managing operational processes, workflows, and team execution
• Conduct daily morning reviews with the team to monitor critical material status, track potential stockouts, and implement immediate action plans
• Approve and execute material orders in alignment with production plans and supplier agreements, managing end-to-end order confirmation processes
• Optimize supplier lead times and MOQs to balance inventory levels, enhance material cycle speed, and drive cost reductions
• Coordinate material pickups and deliveries with transport providers, ensuring seamless integration with warehouse and production departments
• Serve as a solution-oriented mediator across departments to maintain smooth communication and manage operational pressure
• Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of all material planning reports, outputs, and department KPIs
• Maintain strict ISMS and KVKK compliance and company procedures

• Ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of all material planning reports, operational outputs, and department KPIs
• Maintain strict compliance with Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies, KVKK (Data Protection) regulations, and company procedures

What will you bring with you?

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related fields
• 3 to 6 years of solid experience in material planning, supply chain, or production control (automotive industry background is strongly preferred)
• Demonstrated team leadership capability or experience with a focus on process management rather than purely operational task execution
• Strong hands-on proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP MM, or Oracle/Netsis)
• Fluent in English and Turkish (both written and spoken)
• Advanced MS Office skills, particularly expert-level knowledge of MS Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills to build constructive relationships with production and external stakeholders
• Currently residing in or willing to reside/relocate to Sakarya-Kocaeli provinces
