Job summary

Avesoro Resources is seeking a Material Planning Manager based in Istanbul to lead material planning, logistics, and procurement for mining operations. You will manage end-to-end supply processes, develop demand forecasts, and drive continuous improvements with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in material planning or logistics, strong MRP/ERP knowledge (SAP/Oracle), and a solid engineering background. English proficiency required; master's in supply chain is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical preferred).
• Master's degree or professional certification in supply chain/logistics is a plus.
• Experience with mining or heavy industry supply chains is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement material planning strategies aligned with production, maintenance, logistics, and procurement plans.
• Ensure accuracy of inventory records and end-to-end material supply process from procurement to delivery.
• Review requisition quantities and coordinate with Procurement and Logistics for timely orders and shipment planning.
• Analyze on-hand stock, pending orders, goods in transit, and consumption rates to create accurate material requirement plans.
• Prepare short- and long-term material demand forecasts considering lead times and seasonal factors.
• Work with Engineering, Maintenance, Warehouse, Logistics, and Procurement to ensure materials are available on time and in right quantities.
• Monitor material usage trends, update planning parameters, and drive process improvements.
• Identify bottlenecks and risks within the supply process and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and present weekly/monthly planning, procurement, and inventory performance reports to senior management.
• Lead and mentor the material planning and logistics team, promoting best practices.

As part of our growing operations, we are seeking a Material Planning Manager to be based at our Istanbul office, responsible for managing material planning, logistics, and procurement processes for our mining operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement material planning strategies aligned with mining operations’ production, maintenance, logistics, and procurement plans.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
• A master’s degree or professional certification in supply chain or logistics is an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in material planning, logistics, procurement, inventory management, or related functions.
• At least 2 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Experience in mining, heavy industry, or industrial supply chain management is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• In-depth understanding of supply chain processes, logistics, warehouse operations, and production planning cycles.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong analytical thinking and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail and organizational awareness.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
