We are seeking an experienced, highly organised, and professional Live-in Head Housekeeper to oversee the day-to-day housekeeping operations of a private residence in Istanbul.

This role requires a hands-on individual who leads by example while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation throughout the property. The successful candidate will supervise both permanent and temporary housekeeping staff, ensure seamless household operations, and maintain exceptional standards across all family and guest areas.

The Head Housekeeper will work closely with the House Manager and other household staff to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the home while maintaining discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring the overall cleanliness and tidiness of the property to the highest standards
• Monitoring family suites, guest areas, and common spaces to maintain presentation and readiness
• Replacing used towels, changing bed linens when required, and replenishing toiletries and stationery
• Maintaining fruit bowls, drinks trays, and general hospitality areas
• Emptying bins, managing waste, and ensuring all household areas remain orderly
• Cleaning, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and maintaining all flooring surfaces
• Caring for special finishes including marble, silver, fine fabrics, china, and glassware
• Watering interior and exterior plants and maintaining floral arrangements
• Ensuring lighting levels and air temperature remain comfortable while minimising unnecessary energy usage
• Maintaining household supplies including housekeeping, laundry, and pantry stock levels
• Monitoring the condition of linens, towels, service-wear, chinaware, and flatware and arranging replacements where required
• Supporting the Chef and House Manager and assisting with food and beverage service when necessary
• Monitoring staff communal areas and ensuring cleanliness in staff kitchens, bathrooms, and shared spaces
• Overseeing and assisting with the household laundry function during busy periods
• Ensuring all garments and fabrics are handled with care, including correct washing, ironing, and storage methods
• Leading and mentoring both permanent and temporary housekeeping staff
• Ensuring high performance, training support, and the delivery of exceptional housekeeping standards
• Identifying and reporting maintenance issues or damage to the property promptly
• Maintaining excellent organisation and communication with the House Manager and wider household team

Requirements
