II - Who We Are Looking For?

We are seeking a mid-level Legal Engineer (2-4 years) to sit at the intersection of law, software, and AI. This is a hybrid position designed for someone with a legal education who is genuinely comfortable with technology. Your core mission is to translate legal knowledge into working AI-powered solutions, bridging the gap between complex legal data and technical implementation.

While writing code from scratch is not the primary focus of this role, you must possess general coding literacy—the ability to read, understand, reason about code, and effectively guide AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude Code or Copilot). The ideal candidate is a self-directed problem solver who can evaluate model outputs for legal accuracy, debug issues across the pipeline, and collaborate seamlessly with engineers to shape how our AI products behave. III - What Will Be Your Responsibilities?

• (i) Translate complex legal knowledge into working AI-powered solutions by designing effective prompts and data pipelines.
• (ii) Evaluate model outputs rigorously from a legal-accuracy perspective to ensure reliability and compliance.
• (iii) Structure and organize legal data to optimize its use within our AI ecosystem.
• (iv) Collaborate directly with engineering teams to shape how legal AI products behave and integrate into broader systems.
• (v) Read, understand, and reason about code, utilizing AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot) as a core part of your daily workflow.
• (vi) Debug and test across the entire pipeline, diagnosing whether an issue lies in the prompt, the data, or the underlying code.
• (vii) Document technical and legal workflows clearly, communicating development progress and requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• (viii) Independently drive technical specifications to completion by breaking down ambiguous legal and technical problems into actionable, workable steps.

IV - What Is Required from You?

• (i) Qualifications: A Law degree (LL.B. or equivalent) is required, along with a strong interest in legal tech and applying AI to legal workflows.
• (ii) Experience: Mid-level professional (2-4 years of experience) who is self-directed, capable of working independently, and adaptable to our specific approach to legal AI.
• (iii) Technical Literacy: General coding and technical literacy; no specific programming language is required, but you must be able to read, reason about, and follow what a piece of code does.
• (iv) AI Tools & NLP: Comfort using AI-assisted development tools as a core workflow component, plus a working familiarity with modern NLP/ML approaches (LLMs, embedding models, NER) to use them effectively and evaluate their limitations.
• (v) Analytical & Debugging Skills: Exceptional problem-solving ability to diagnose and resolve issues across prompts, data and code.
• (vi) Domain Expertise: A solid grasp of legal concepts and the proven ability to translate them into precise technical requirements.
• (vii) Communication Skills: Excellent documentation skills and the ability to bridge the gap between legal frameworks and engineering teams.
• (viii) Learning Agility: A high capacity to quickly pick up new AI tools, concepts, and workflows as the field evolves.
• (ix) Preferred Skills: Familiarity with knowledge graphs, ontologies, taxonomy work, agentic AI systems, MCP (Model Context Protocol), prompt engineering, LLM APIs, RAG architectures (Elasticsearch, vector databases), and prior experience in a legal tech product are highly desirable.
