Karadeniz Holding in Istanbul Kağıthane HQ seeks a Junior Legal Counsel to join the Legal department. You will draft, review and negotiate contracts, support governance, and provide day-to-day legal guidance to various teams.

With 1–3 years of experience and a law degree with bar admission, you will analyse risks in complex contracts and collaborate across international counterparts in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid work and development opportunities are offered.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in law with bar admission (LL.M is a plus).
• 1–3 years’ experience in corporate, commercial, financing or related field (energy/shipping/infrastructure is a plus).
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is a must.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills, attention to detail and sound judgement.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across teams.

Responsabilidades

• Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts across business units under supervision.
• Support corporate governance and monitor compliance for group companies across jurisdictions.
• Provide day-to-day legal support to senior counsels.
• Draft reports, opinions, and other documents.
• Conduct legal research and monitor changes in legislation and regulation.
• Provide commercially minded legal consulting to operational functions.

We are looking for a “Legal Counsel (Junior)” to be assigned to our ''Legal'' department located in İstanbul Kağıthane HQ .

WHAT DO WE EXPECT?

• Bachelor’s degree in law from a leading university with bar admission (LL.M is a plus).
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in corporate law, commercial law, financing or a related field (experience in the power generation, energy, shipping, or infrastructure sectors and/or work experience as a legal counsel in international law offices or power generation, energy or shipping companies is an advantage).
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is a must.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills, attention to detail and sound judgement.
• Strong understanding of commercial and legal risk in complex contracts and the ability to evaluate interrelated processes for providing practical and business-oriented advice.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, collaborate across different teams and time zones, and support legal structuring while mitigating risk under tight deadlines.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to handle competing priorities and deliver high-quality work within tight timelines
• Proactive attitude, and strong communication skills with persuasive and influential capabilities and ability to communicate and collaborate with multi-national (internal and external) counterparts.
• Both self-motivated and teamwork oriented.
• No restriction to travel domestically and internationally when required.

WHAT AWAITS YOU?

• Draft, review, and negotiate various types of contracts across different business units under the supervision of senior legal counsel
• Play an active role in supporting corporate governance and monitoring ongoing compliance for the Group companies across multiple jurisdictions
• Accountable to senior members of the Legal Department
• Provide day-to-day legal support to senior legal counsels including the technical, commercial and business unit’s teams through contractual processes
• Draft reports, opinions, correspondence, and other documents
• Conduct legal research and monitor changes in relevant legislation and regulation
• Provide practical, commercially minded legal consulting to the various operational functions on all sort of legal issues
• Represent company's interests and interface directly with internal and external stakeholders and counterparts.
