Job summary

GİZLİ is seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator to design, implement, and maintain robust MSSQL databases. You will ensure security, backups, disaster recovery, and high availability while collaborating with development teams to optimize performance and resource usage.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of MSSQL DBA experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and proficiency in scripting for automation, with ITIL knowledge considered a plus.

Qualifications

• BSc degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or similar academic disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years Experience with Database Administration for MSSQL Server.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems.
• Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization using native monitoring tools.
• Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
• Minimum 3 years Experience of HA/DR, monitoring, backup-restore, upgrade & patching for MSSQL Server.
• Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts.
• Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic; team player with dedication.
• Integrity, reliability, adaptability, confidence and promptness.
• Proficiency in ITIL Change/Configuration Management is a plus.
• Certifications: MCSA: SQL Server 2012/2014, 2016 DB Admin/BI are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, construct, install, and maintain databases.
• Maintain integrity and security of the database, including backups and recovery procedures.
• Setup and maintain database replication, clustering, mirroring, and high availability strategies.
• Plan and manage new installations or upgrades and updates.
• Implement disaster recovery and failover systems.
• Monitor database performance and apply patches/versions as required.
• Monitor and respond to alerts generated.
• Provide support for all SQL Server databases.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize database usage.
• Perform daily checks.
• Perform performance tuning and capacity planning on databases.
• Stay updated with latest database technologies and best practices.
• Define and implement database standards, policies, and procedures.
